SOULBARRE STUDIO

Working as a design consultant for the owner of SoulBarre Studio in Spokane Valley, we helped with fixture and finish selections and designing the entry and retail space. The client had been dreaming of her own barre studio space for several years and had a beautiful vision that needed a little fine-tuning to pull everything together. A simple materials palette allowed her fun and playful geometric designs and bright accent colors to take center stage.

CONCEPT DESIGN:
RESTAURANT

This restaurant’s main goal is to provide food that caters to many lifestyles as well as support local agriculture to help bridge the gap between farmer and consumer. Building on the idea of regionalism, this space was designed using eco-friendly and sustainable sources. Influenced by nostalgic memories of an old barn, filtered light contributes to the restaurant experience, but is also found in unexpected and luxurious ways.

CONCEPT DESIGN:
DESIGN SCHOOL

The interior design school had a mission to create an energetic and inspiring environment that provided students with a space they would enjoy spending many hours. Flexibility in furniture arrangements allows students to have public and private areas. This provides versatility for spaces to change over time and for users to control their environment.

CONCEPT DESIGN:
COMMUNITY CENTER

The design for the Community and Arts center was inspired by the fertile rolling hills and the junction of railroads in a rural town. The goal was to create a multi-functional floor plan which would provide a small community with resources and flexible gathering spaces. From a modular gallery, a gathering lounge, versatile classrooms, a Chamber of Commerce and more, this building would become a hub for old and young alike.
