VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS
Need a little design direction, but don’t need a designer physically in your space? Our Virtual Designer On-Call consultation brings the same personalized expertise and problem-solving approach of our in-home service to you, wherever you are. Through a one-hour video consultation, we’ll talk through your design challenges, answer questions, and provide thoughtful, practical solutions tailored to your space and project. Whether you’re looking for help selecting a paint color or finishes, working through a furniture layout, refining your styling, or simply need a professional perspective to get unstuck, we’re here to help. Come prepared with your questions, areas of concern, and any inspiration you’d like to share, and we’ll use our time together to focus on the areas where you need the most guidance. Virtual consultations offer the added flexibility of being available to both local and non-local clients, while providing a more accessible price point than our in-person service.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Whether you’re working on one room or a whole home, we recommend coming prepared with a list of questions, prioritized by what you’d most like to cover. During the video call, we’ll “tour” your space(s), and you can ask specific questions or, if you’re looking for more open-ended guidance, I can offer a range of suggestions. I may also screenshare products or inspiration images to help you visualize my recommendations. We’ll cover as much as we can within the allotted time!
If your space has you stumped and you don’t know what exactly is “wrong,” no worries! We’ll do a video tour around the room(s) and I’ll be happy to point out any suggestions or ideas to improve the space! It could be that something currently there is not quite right, or maybe some things are missing. I’ll be sure to pinpoint anything I can to elevate your spaces!
Either! I help with everything from decorating decisions and product sourcing to medium-sized renovations and building projects. We can talk through ideas for your space, specific products or retailers, or selections like tile, countertops, cabinetry, paint, and more. You can book consultations as needed and tackle your project bit by bit, at your own pace.
Choosing a paint color through a virtual call is a slightly different process than in-person, but it can be done! We will review your inspiration photos and color goals, then I’ll use my paint deck and previous experience to provide options for the best colors and tones for you to explore. Additional time to sample the suggestions on your own is always recommended, and I’ll walk you through the process for completing that!
Depending on how much further help is needed, I may recommend a follow up consultation either virtually, in your space, or in a showroom. If the additional help needed are things that cannot be covered in a consultation or two (drafting plans, selecting finishes, sourcing products), I may be able to create a flat fee or hourly-based package to complete that work. Availability for this is not guaranteed as an add-on option!
Some clients choose to prepare for their consultation by having photographs, product links, etc. gathered and emailed to me prior to joining the call. While I don’t review them beforehand, having those materials accessible during our conversation can be helpful as we talk through your questions. The consultation concludes at the end of the allotted time, and any questions or materials shared afterward are not reviewed or included in the consultation fee.
