Baby’s day out! Had to interrupt the normal feed

Baby’s day out! Had to interrupt the normal feed to share one of Ashton’s first spring adventures outside with this gorgeous weather. He’s taken plenty of stroller walks but with the snow melting, he’s finally getting opportunities to lead his own way. I love watching him dig into the dirt, explore the texture of pine cones, and even check out some animal poop (found him “tracking” deer 😅). His legs were as wobbly as jello after a long walk up and down hills, but he was nonstop adventuring and sure wasn’t ready to go inside! Happy spring everyone 🌿

The Pines Residence is a project of ours that had a long awaited start, but we’re finally underway and I couldn’t be more excited! The finishes are a mix of earthy and modern — my absolute favorite combo to work with. Layered wood tones, textures, and soft brass finishes will pull the whole home together. Stay tuned for rapid updates because this project is moving fast!!

Mica Farmhouse is getting put back together! Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and drywall is done. Next comes the pretty stuff 😍

For a little back story - this old farmhouse had a newer addition on it. The original farmhouse was crumbling though. It’s clay foundation was soaking away with each rainy season, causing the whole house to start to sag and buckle. So @cutstar.homes carefully tore down the farmhouse while keeping the newer addition in tact. A basement was dug out and a new concrete foundation poured (you can now see it almost finished in the last clip of the reel). Then the new 2-story house was built on top and tied in perfectly to the remaining structure, rooflines and all. It’s been a long process to get to this point of a solid, safe home. So being able to focus on the pretty and fun parts with a sense of peace is so exciting!
